Pedro Laborda studied Chemistry at the University of Zaragoza, where he got his PhD degree in 2014, for work developed partially in the University of Oviedo and in the Institute of Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (CSIC). Between January 2015 and December 2018, he worked as postdoctoral researcher, and later as associate professor, in Nanjing Agricultural University and in Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Jiangsu Government). Since January 2019, he is group leader in the School of Life Sciences of Nantong University. His research focuses on the development of new strategies for the management of plant pathogens and on the identification of new plant diseases
